Nebula: oil painting

This painting, “Nebula” that is just finished, was inspired by my interest in the Universe that our planet is a very small part of and this work is my depiction of the Orion Nebula.

Seeking refuge: painting including glazing

After another session in the studio, the painting now includes glazes and further work on some details so, Seeking refuge is, I think, now finished.

Where is home?: oil pastel

Seeing a photograph in the newspaper of a female refugee wading through water in the dark impelled me to do this drawing. Where is home? is the first work I’ve done that touches on social comment and politics.
