Nebula: painting

Nebula, where stars are formed, fascinate me and this oil painting is inspired by the Orion Nebula, the one closest to Earth.

Sunset at Minsmere: painting

The vivid sunset experienced at the RSPB Minsmere nature reserve when I visited there last autumn inspired this painting.

Seeking refuge: painting including glazing

After another session in the studio, the painting now includes glazes and further work on some details so, Seeking refuge is, I think, now finished.

Towards the mainland II: painting

‘Towards the mainland II’ evolved after a day in the studio working on a painting inspired by a visit  to Korcula in Croatia last summer.  I’ve applied glazes, translucent paint layers created by mixing small amounts of oil paint with artists painting medium and linseed oil.  Your feedback is welcome.
