This mixed media work was created by painting first then I used frottage – taking rubbings from shells, bark and also mesh – to produce this multi-layered and textured work.

Recently, I’ve enjoyed trying some life drawing and painting and here is “Figure with parasol”, that was painted in one short session.

This painting (now finished) is inspired by my visit last summer to a beautiful, small island near Korcula that gave amazing views of mainland Croatia. The painting includes a series of glazes.

Following a recent visit to Cornwall, these art works focus on expressive drawing and are abstract landscapes inspired by the remote beaches, coves and cliffs on the north coast. The three mixed media art works are on paper (29.7cm x 42cm).

Landing Gallery
The More than brushstrokes art show is the grand finale of the fabulous Advanced Painting Practice course that I’ve been taking at Morley College. Two of my paintings are part of the show as well as art works by other students. The show starts on 23rd March and finishes on 28th April.
